I am Luiz Américo. I live in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil.

I started programming in the final of medical school (yes, i'm a physician) to automate common tasks, medicine related or not. Initially i programmed as a hobby, doing personal stuff or contributing to projects without any sort of financial gain / professional goal.

Few years ago, i engaged in a personal project to manage patients in a big hospital where i used to work. The great acceptance of it among physicians lead me to take a step further and co-founded a software company to develop health related software. Today, even coding in a professional setting (to my company or as freelance in selected projects), i still have (a lot of) fun programming.
